The evening was sensational with over 70 dancers performing on one stage whose performances were the best that one could ever imagine and with an audience of over 350 including well known performing artists of Sri Lanka and distinguished guests of both Sri Lanka and India who have thoroughly enjoyed the event
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Mr. Lal Thilakeratne Dance Instructor and Choreographer, Mrs. Deepa Rao, Choreographer of Chirantana Dance Academy and all other Dance Instructors and each of their students for the heavenly display of performing arts. We also thank the Institute of Sinhala Culture and all the technicians and media including SLRC and MBC without whose support the event would not be such a huge success.
Our special thanks goes to our National President Jc Bimal Liyanage for creating an opportunity with an open invitation to all chapters to organise a dance programme to include the young artists of Chiranthana Dance Academy India who have visited Sri Lanka with Jc Alakananda, EVP Individual and Community Jc Ruwan Senanayake for all his guidance and support, LOM President JCISL Gampaha Jc Charitha Bandara for his presence and Jc Alakananda the coordinator from India for all her support.
We are proud to have been able to organise this event hand in hand with Mr. Lal Thilakeratne Dance Instructor and Choreographer and it is our wish that this event to be a tribute to all artists in Sri Lanka and India who have served through out their lives to preserve the cultural heritages of both countries.
